ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT DEPUTY STILL KEPT IN US IMMIGRATION SERVICE CELL
Deputy of the Armenian National Assembly Tatoul Manaserian detained in Dallas New York airport last week is still being kept in the immigration service cell, State of Virginia. According to a report of the Armenian NA press service, chairman of the parliament Artur Baghdasarian held a meeting with Armenia's foreign minister Vardan Oskanian regarding the possible assistance to be rendered to T. Manaserian, whose state of health had deteriorated sharply during his stay in the US. According to the source, certain measures for rendering assistance to T. Manaserian have been already undertaken. Particularly, he was offered the possibility of meeting with the officials of the Armenian Embassy. To note, T. Manaserian is on a private visit to the US. As in her turn Ruzan Khachatrian, the person in charge for the public relations of the Armenian People's Party (let us remind that T. Manaserian represents the opposition Justice bloc in the parliament) informed, the incident being merely private regards the issue of the parental guardianship, for T. Manaserian's ex-wife and son reside in the US at present.
