AZERI POLITICIAN CONSIDERS STARTING NEGOTIATIONS ON KARABAKH CONFLICT FROM BLAND PRINT INEXPEDIENT
We do no think that the little progress that had been achieved during the numerous rounds of negotiations between Azerbaijani ex-President Heydar Aliyev and Armenian head Robert Kocharian will be forgotten and the negotiation process should be started from the zero point, leader of Azerbaijani National Front opposition party, deputy of Milli Mejlis Ali Kerimli stated in his online interview organized by Region research center. In his words, the logic of diplomacy and politics as well as common sense speak against of the wording given by Azeri President Ilham Aliyev regarding the inexpedience of hurry in the settlement process and Baku's desire to start negotiations from the very beginning. Most likely, it is only a wish to exert pressure, A. Kerimli assumed. "Who knows? Sometimes politicians make such unexpected steps, even mature political scientists cannot think of", the Azeri politician said.
