Coach proud of European title-winner Artur AleksanyanMarch 13, 2012 - 16:56 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Chief coach of Armenia’s Greco-Roman wrestling team said that he is happy that Armenia’s young representative Artur Aleksanyan managed to win gold at the European Championships. “We expected him to perform successfully judging by his readiness during the trainings,” Levon Julfalakyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. Aleksanyan (96 kg) scored smashing wins in all of the 5 clashes he had. In the Championships final he beat Mindaugas Ežerskis (Lithuania) 8:0. “Last year Aleksanyan made it to the European Champiosnhips final to finish 2nd. As a head coach I’m very happy that Armenia has such a gifted wrester,” Julfalakyan said, voicing hope for the European champion to perform well at the ranking tournaments and qualify for London Olympics.
