Apple also started pre-orders on its online store for the new iPad over a week before it showed up in stores. By contrast, the first iPad, released in 2010, took 28 days to reach the one million unit sales mark. In its press release, Apple provided no further details about the iPad's sales, such as a breakdown of figures for each of the six versions of the tablet. There is also no official word on how many of the 4G versions were sold via Verizon and how many were for AT&T's network. Apple also declined to provide on how many of its new iPads were sold online versus its in-store numbers. According to AllThingsD.com, both AT&T and Verizon issued statements today concerning sales of the iPad for their respective wireless networks. However, neither revealed specific sales numbers. AT&T said it set a new single-day record on Friday in terms of both new iPads sold as well as for iPad data subscription activations. Verizon said simply that it was "quite pleased with sales, which have been brisk through the weekend." ![]() ![]() Yerevan will host the 2024 edition of the World Congress On Information Technology (WCIT).
