FORMER GEORGIA'S AMBASSADOR TO ARMENIA APPOINTED GEORGIAN PRESIDENT'S REPRESENTATIVE IN SAMTSKHE-JAVAKHETIA
Former Georgia's Ambassador to Armenia Nikoloz Nikolozishvili was appointed the plenipotentiary representative of the Georgian President in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region. Completing his diplomatic mission in Armenia, N. Nikolozishvili met with Armenian President Robert Kocharian today. According to the report of the Armenian leader's press service, the parties discussed the issues of Armenian-Georgian relations and the situation in Samtskhe-Javakhetia for most part inhabited by Armenians. The Georgian diplomat noted that he has already visited the region and expressed the opinion that he should first of all solve the socio-economic issues. R. Kocharian pointed out the importance of repairing the Georgian sector of the highway connecting Samtskhe-Javakhetia with Armenia.
