RUSSIA DISCUSSING PROSPECTS OF RESTORING IMMEDIATE RAILWAY COMMUNICATION WITH IRANMarch 15, 2004 - 18:21 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - President of Russian Railways company Gennadi Fadeyev and Iranian Ambassador to the RF Golamreza Shafei discussed in Moscow the prospects of the restoration of immediate railway communication between Russia and Iran. In Fadeyev's words, Russian railway sector leading to the port of Olya at the Caspian Sea will be put into operation early August. The functioning of the railway will enable ferry crossing between the Russian and Iranian ports.
