EU TO ALLOCATE 20 MILLION EUROS TO ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian minister of finance and economy Vardan Khachatrian and head of the EU delegation in Georgia and Armenia Torben Holtze signed TASIC National Indicative Program for 2004-2006 today. Within the frames of the program Armenia will receive 20 million euros as technical assistance. 13,5 million will be directed to the reforms in the energy sphere and working out of the programs for perfecting the activities of the local authorities. Other 6,5 million will be spent with the purpose of eliminating the consequences of transitional period, mostly, the reformation of the system of higher education. The program also provides for assistance in the issue of bringing the legislative field of Armenia to the European standards.
