AZERI TRANSPORT MINISTER ACCUSED OF COOPERATION WITH ARMENIAJuly 8, 2004 - 21:54 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A group of workers of the Railway Department of Azerbaijan and members of Eni Azerbaijan ruling party yesterday made "serious charges" against Transport Minister of the country Ziya Mamedov and the railway leadership. In their words, as reported by Turan Azeri news agency, Z. Mamedov has formed a "mafia network" on the railway, which has defalcated state means and property totaling $2.5 billion since 1995. Besides, in the words of the railway workers, the Railway Department is the only state structure, which cooperates with Armenia having "sold 300 tank-wagons" to it. At that they state Armenia makes use of the car fleet of Azerbaijan without difficulty. Transit consists pass through Azerbaijan to Georgia and Armenia.
