ARMENIAN DEPUTY FOREIGN MINISTER DISCUSSED KARABAKH SETTLEMENT WITH FRENCH AND BRITISH DELEGATIONSOctober 22, 2004 - 22:11 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Yesterday Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Tatul Margarian received Director of the Continental Europe Department of the French Foreign Ministry Jean-Francois Terral. As reported by the Press Service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the parties touched upon Armenian-French relations, prospects of regional cooperation and settlement of conflicts, specifically the Nagonro Karabakh problem. Within that context the Deputy Minister appreciated France's role as one of the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group for Karabakh settlement. As T. Margarian stated, Armenia is grateful to France for its balanced position on the Nagorno Karabakh problem. The same day the Deputy Minister met with members of UK-Armenia inter-parliamentary friendship group. In the course of the conversation bilateral relations, Armenia's integration into European structures, settlement of the Karabakh conflict were concerned. T. Margarian thanked the group members, specifically Baroness Caroline Cox, for durable support and assistance to the Karabakh people.![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
