GEORGIAN COMMUNITY NEWSPAPER TO BE FUNDED FROM ARMENIAN STATE BUDGET IN 2005

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's budget bill for 2005 provides for spending on issuing newspapers of the Georgian and Ukrainian communities of Armenia - Vrastan (Georgia) and Dnipru. A special item for financing translated literature is also provided for. A small number of Georgians - some 1000 people - reside in Armenia. These are mainly women, who had married Armenian men. However, the Georgian community of Armenia is rather active.
