PACE RAPPORTEUR ON KARABAKH TO VISIT ARMENIA MARCH 27March 13, 2003 - 18:34 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - March 27 the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) rapporteur on the Nagorno Karabakh issue Terry Davis will visit Armenia, where he will meet with the country political leadership. PACE Armenian delegation head, chairman of the Armenian parliamentary commission on foreign affairs Hovhannes Hovhannisian told "Arminfo" agency. In his words, the rapporteur will visit Azerbaijan before, but will not be able to visit Nagorno Karabakh due to lack of time. The point is that March 29 he has to leave Yerevan for Strasbourg together with the Armenian delegation to participate in the PACE Bureau sitting. T. Davis is expected to visit Nagorno Karabakh in early May. Upon the completion of the visit the rapporteur is expected to give a report on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict to be discussed at the PACE summer session.![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
