KOCHARIAN OFFICIALLY RECOGNIZED WINNER OF PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS IN ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today the central electoral commission of Armenia announced the final returns of the second round of the presidential elections in Armenia held March 5. According to the data, Kocharian gathered 67.44% of grassroots votes (1 044 424 people). 32.56% of electors (504 146 citizens) voted for his rival - chairman of the People Party of Armenia Stepan Demirchian. A total of 1 548 570 electors participated in the vote. Thus, the incumbent Armenian president Robert Kocharian is officially recognized winner of the presidential elections in the republic.
