LITHUANIA TO TRAIN MILITARY SPECIALISTS FOR ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - The agreement on training Armenian servicemen in Military Academy of Lithuania, signed by the Ministries of Defense of Armenia and Lithuania, was today recognized complying to the Armenian Constitution. Such decision was passed today by the Armenian Constitution. The Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia, lieutenant general Artur Aghabekian, who presented the document, noted that Armenia has assumed a range of obligations within the NATO Partnership for Peace Programme and for meeting them respective specialists are necessary. These specialists will be trained in military education institutions of the NATO member states, specifically in Lithuania, A. Aghabekian noted. He also added that one of the graduates of Baltic Defense College (Tartu, Estonia) participates in the Armenian peace-keeping mission in Iraq at the moment.
