ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT ADOPTED BILL ON STRUGGLE AGAINST TERRORISMMarch 23, 2005 - 11:32 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian parliament adopted the bill "On Struggle Against Terrorism", which provides for detailed legal regulation of the issues regarding combating terrorism, organization of anti-terrorist operations, etc., IA Regnum reports. The struggle against terrorism will be carried on by the Security Service, Police and other bodies. In case of necessity the RA President can form headquarters for anti-terrorist activities. As author of the bill Hrayr Karapetian reported, the following state structures will be formed: an executive body of the national security, an executive body of the interior affairs and an executive body of the armed forces. The anti-terrorist structures will work out the conception of the struggle against terrorism, delivering orders to various bodies, holding of recurrent discussions, participation on drawing up international agreements and legislative initiatives. All the organizations, natural persons and state bodies are to assist the anti-terrorist structures. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
