PACE CALLS RA PRESIDENT TO ADMIT TURKISH PRIME MINISTER'S PROPOSAL

PanARMENIAN.Net - 97 deputies of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe put their signatures to the document calling Armenian President Robert Kocharian to admit the proposal by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the formation of a joint commission of historians, who will examine the documents referring to the Armenian Genocide. There are 10 Turks, 10 Russians, 8 Azeris and 4 Georgians among the parliamentarians to have signed the PACE appeal. To note, the Armenian President has already answered the letter of the Turkish Premier, who in turn suggested a discussion on the issue, IA Regnum reports.
