  ARMENIAN PHOTOGRAPHER AWARDED WORLD PRESS PHOTO 2002 GRAND PRIXFebruary 17, 2003 - 18:28 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Eric Grigorian photographer of Armenian origin is awarded Grad Prix of World Press Photo 2002 prestigious international exposition contest. As reported by Independent On-Line, the photo taken by him captured funeral of a large family father, who died in a disastrous earthquake in Qazvin Iranian province. Eric Grigorian lives in Los-Angeles and works for "Polaris Images" US photo agency. The contest jury determined winners in 9 nominations among 55 photographers from 18 countries. The awarding ceremony will be held in Amsterdam April 27.  Top stories Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult.
