As stated by commander of the peacekeeping battalion of the Armed Forces of Armenia Artak Tonoyan, 34 servicemen will leave for Kosovo. In his words, this shift is different from others, as the Armenian battalion will include skilled servicemen, who have already been to Kosovo once. The zone, where the Armenian peacekeepers are deployed, is under US responsibility. «Road blocks and special destination objects are mainly protected,» Tonoyan said, reported RFE/RL.![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
