Belgian Senate Delegation Held Several Meetings in RA Parliament

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today chairman of the Armenian National Assembly Standing Council on Foreign Affairs Armen Rustamian met with the delegation led by Belgian Senate President Anne-Marie Lizin, RA NA press center reported. Armen Rustamian voiced assurance that that the visit will convey a new impulse to the Armenian-Belgian relations and activation of interparliamentary ties. He noted that having chosen the European way of development Armenia endeavors to integrate into Europe briskly and the organization Armenia is included in promote this process. Armen Rustamian also noted the importance of Armenia's participation in the EU initiatives in the region. When touching upon the process of constitutional reform he said that the positive outcome of the referendum will grant Armenia the possibility to accomplish the process. The parties also marked out the development of multilateral relations and interparliamentary ties between Armenia and Belgium, regional cooperation as well as issues of mutual concern.



The delegation headed by the Belgian Senate President also met with the members of the Armenian-Belgian parliamentary friendship group. The group members familiarized the delegation with the parliamentary activities in social and health fields.
