  US Assistant Secretary of State to Arrive in Yerevan Next WeekNovember 17, 2005 - 15:50 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Asia Matthew Bryza will arrive in Yerevan next week. It should be reminded that US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Daniel Fried arrived in Yerevan on a short-term visit October 18 within his regional visit. He held meetings with Armenian leaders. Mr. Fried stated in Yerevan that «Armenia is in a favorable situation to strengthen democratic and economic reforms.» It should be noted that before being appointed Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Matthew Bryza was Director of the Caucasus and Central Asia Department of the US National Security Council, reported Mediamax. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
