Armenia Satisfied With OSCE Minsk Group NegotiationsDecember 15, 2005 - 18:25 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian side is satisfied with the discussions that took place with the OSCE Minsk Group. The Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian declared this during a press conference held today in Yerevan. "In our opinion the year of 2005 marked positive changes in the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement process and hopefully this positive trend will be maintained next year too", Head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry noted. According to him, at present there is no pack with proposals from the mediators lying on the table of negotiations. Today we are mainly discussing the general principals to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, and also additional elements. Only in case an agreement on these issues has been reached, they can constitute draft proposals, said he. Speaking about the venue and dates for the next meeting of presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, V. Oskanian noted that at present there were no concrete arrangements made. "There is an intention to hold this meeting early next year", finalised the foreign minister.![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
