Kocharian-Aliyev Meeting to Be Held in FranceJanuary 20, 2006 - 13:08 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents Robert Kocharian and Ilham Aliyev will take place in February 2006, Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian stated when commenting on the returns of the meeting with Azeri FM Elmar Mammadyarov and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs. As Oskanian noted, French President Jacques Chirac has already proposed the Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders to meet in France. The date has not been fixed yet.Meanwhile Vremya Novostey Russian newspaper writes that the Presidents' meeting may take place February 10 in Paris. The article notes that the Armenian and Azerbaijani FMs agreed on the date and place during the meeting of the Presidents during the two-day negotiations in London. Citing some sources the newspaper writes, "The major result of the talks is the confirmation that the meeting of the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan will take place in Paris February 10. The London negotiations proved there can be no sensation in the conflict settlement at the ministerial level, however there is a chance for breakthrough via the presidential dialogue." Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
