Huseynov Claims not Taken Seriously by CE

PanARMENIAN.Net - No one at the CE Committee of Ministers takes Rafael Huseynov's claims seriously, Chair of the Standing Parliamentary Commission on External Relations Armen Rustamyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. In his words, Huseynov has sponsored over forty similar claims and the CE Committee of Ministers pays no attention of these in spite of Huseynov's own assurance. «The PACE does not like radical statement, especially in an issue like conflict settlement. Rafael Huseynov is a marginal deputy and the attitude towards him is a respective one. His so to say impetuous activities are aimed exclusively at supporting his image in Azerbaijan itself. I would even say he is merely a sick man,» Armen Rustamyan said. Chairman of the Armenian NA Standing Commission also said that everything Huseynov tells Azeri media is false.



February 15 the CE Committee of Ministers discussed Azerbaijan's request on "inadmissibility of occupant Armenia's membership in the CE owing to contradiction of its CE membership to principles and criteria of the organization." Huseynov's request was registered in the third item of the agenda of the 956th session of the CE Committee of Ministers (number 483).
