Armenian MOD Head Laid Wreath to Unknown Soldier Monument

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today representatives of the supreme officer staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, led by Secretary of the National Security Council at the Armenian President, Defense Minister Serge Sargsyan, visited the Victory Park and laid a wreath to the Monument to Unknown Soldier, Armenian MOD Spokesperson, colonel Seyran Shahsuvaryan told PanARMENIAN.Net Armenian Police Chief, lieutenant general Hayk Harutyunyan, Russian Ambassador to Armenia Nikolay Pavlov, Commander of the Russian military contingent and Russian frontier troops also laid wreaths to the Monument. February 23 is marked as the Day of Fatherland Defender in Russia, a number of CIS countries and the Nagorno Karabakh Republic. Armenia does not mark the day as a state holiday.
