Baku Not Safeguarded against Speaking of 40% of Territories in Case of New War

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's response to Azerbaijan's militant rhetoric is not adequate, Armenian MP, representative of ARF Dashnaktsutyun's Supreme Body Armen Rustamyan told journalists today. «There are no militant statements in Armenia, on the contrary, we respond to not adequately to the militant rhetoric and atmosphere prevailing in Azerbaijan. The Azeri people are mislead by planned statements that Armenia is so weak, that as soon as Azerbaijan begins any actions, it will return its lands. By saying its own territories, Azerbaijan means not only Nagorno Karabakh and surrounding territories, de facto controlled by Armenians, by also Armenian Zangezur,» he said.



In his words, atmosphere available demands an adequate response, which will prevent war. «Statements in Azerbaijan directly call to war. We state we are ready to war. We urge them no to be mistaken and not to launch hostilities. Today Azerbaijan speaks of 20% of territories, controlled by the Armenian party and it is not safeguarded from speaking of 40% in case of a new war,» Rustamyan underscored. In his opinion, not international community's assistance resulted in a cease-fire in the Karabakh war, but the organized self-defense and rebuff to the Azeri aggression.
