As reported by the Embassy's press office, the Russian officials are convinced that xenophobia is peculiar not to Russian only. The Russian Embassy in Armenia expressed regret over the cases of violence against the Russian citizens of Armenian origin. "Unfortunately xenophobia is an evil that finds expression in the public life of multi-national states with developed democratic and social institutes. Thus, the statements on purposeful violation of rights through national intolerance against Armenians are groundless," the statement of the Russian Embassy says in part.![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
