NEW CO-RAPPORTEUR OF PACE MONITORING GROUP ON ARMENIA TO BE APPOINTED

PanARMENIAN.Net - A new co-rapporteur of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe monitoring group on Armenia will be appointed in January 2003. As chief of the Armenian delegation in PACE Hovhannes Hovhannisian told "Arminfo" agency, in the near future Irena Belogorska will abdicate the responsibilities of co-rapporteur on monitoring of Armenia. To all appearance, she will not be included in the PACE Slovak delegation. The matter is that the party, of which Belogorska is member, is not represented in the Slovak parliament after the recent elections. At present the Armenian parliamentary delegation and the PACE leadership discuss appointment of a new co-rapporteur on monitoring of Armenia.
