CIS mission hails the course of Armenia referendum December 7, 2015 - 13:53 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The referendum on constitutional reforms in Armenia passed in a peaceful and free atmosphere, in full compliance with the Republic’s electoral code, the head of the CIS observation mission told RIA Novosti. “State authorities and local governments conducted the referendum efficiently and professionally,” Yevgeny Sloboda said. According to him, the mission of observers from the CIS, which consists of 78 members representing the eight states of the Commonwealth, the Inter-Parliamentary Committee of the Union of Belarus and Russia, visited 508 polling stations across the country. "During the visits to polling stations, no violations that could influence the results of the referendum were registered," Sloboda said.
