Armenian Authorities Did Not Receive Invitations To Take Part in Dink's Funeral

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian authorities did not receive invitations to take part in Hrant Dink's funeral, the gunned down 'Agos' editor-in-chief. RA MFA acting Press Officer Vladimir Karapetyan and Presidential Press Secretary Viktor Soghomonian told the PanARMENIAN.Net journalist that no invitations were received through official channels.



It is worth mentioning that earlier Turkish Media has spread information according to which Turkish MFA has sent invitations to Armenian political and spiritual leaders and the Armenian Diaspora to take part in Dink's funeral.



An ethnic Armenian Hrant Dink was gunned down Friday January 19 near the editorial office of his 'Agos' weekly. The Police has already detained one suspect, 17-year-old Ogun Samast, who has confessed to the murder. Also Yasin Hayala has been arrested who has confessed to instigation and organization of the assassination.
