Armenia marks Constitution DayJuly 5, 2007 - 14:29 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Today Armenia marks the Constitution Day. The Organic Law was adopted on July 5, 1995 in the result of a national referendum. On November 27, 2005 a nation-wide referendum was held in Armenia on proposing amendments to the Constitution of Armenia. 93.3% of Armenia's citizens voted for amendments. The acting Constitution contains 117 articles, which state that Armenia is a sovereign, democratic, social and jural state, where the power belongs to its people.![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
