Kocharian: Karabakh conflict will hardly be resolved before 2008 elections in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Robert Kocharian expressed doubt that the Nagorno Karabakh conflict can be resolved before the 2008 presidential elections in Armenia.

"I think that the sides will hardly come to an agreement before the presidential elections," he said in Brussels during a joint news conference with European Commission President, Jose Manuel Barroso.

For his part, Mr Barroso stressed the importance of resolving existing Armenia-Azerbaijan and Armenia-Turkey problems.
