Armenia should launch NKR recognition process

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia should launch the process of recognition of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, NKR President's advisor on external affairs Arman Melikian told a news conference in Yerevan.

"RA and NKR are two different states and this should be the reference point for the conflict resolution," he said adding that the institute of dual citizenship should be established in NKR.

"Readiness to find common ground will be compromise in the crisis. In 1998 Robert Kocharian and Vazgen Sargsyan stopped surrender of territories but the whole settlement process was also stopped," he said.

"There is nothing to speak about activities of the OSCE Minsk Group, since it doesn't do anything," he noted. "At that, the RA Foreign Ministry should deeper engage in the Karabakh problem resolution. But it's the task of the next President."

Arman Melikian has announced his decision to run for the post of President of Armenia.
