AGREEMENT ON TRANSFER OF ARMENIAN ENTERPRISES FOR REPAYMENT OF ARMENIAN STATE DEBT TO RUSSIA SIGNED IN YEREVAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today the agreement on the order of the transfer of a number of Armenian enterprises for repayment of the Armenian State debt to Russia is signed in Yerevan. As the Armenian-Russian commission on economic cooperation co-chair, Russian industry, science and technology minister Ilya Klebanov has stated, the agreement stipulates the procedure issues and it is planned the exchange of the ownership acts will have taken place until the year-end. "I do not want to pass ahead of the events but I think, July 19 Armenia will pass Russia the note on enterprises and the realization of the technical part of the agreement will start", Klebanov noted. He informed, the supposedly in September, the parliaments of the two states will ratify the agreement. As regards the enterprises, then, according to Klebanov "they need serious investments and the Russian business will be in the key Armenian enterprises". It should be reminded that according to 2002, March 21 agreement, for the repayment of $ 101-million Armenian debt, Russia will have the shares of the Razdan thermoelectric power station, Yerevan Institute of mathematical machines, Yerevan Institute of automated control systems, "Mars" close corporation, Yerevan Institute of material science.
