AZERI FOREIGN MINISTER REFUSES TO MEET WITH PACE MONITORING GROUPJuly 15, 2002 - 23:29 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The decision of Azerbaijan to receive the monitoring group of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe is concerned with that Baku does not wish to "aggravate" its relations with the CE. Azeri foreign minister Vilayat Guliyev has stated that. He noted Baku has never spoken against the visit of the monitoring group. According to him, the matter concerned only the membership of the monitoring group and the displeasure of Baku with the biased attitude of its several members to Azerbaijan. "If PACE reporter Andreas Gross continues to take biased attitude towards Azerbaijan, then our demands regarding the change of the monitoring group membership will go on", noted he declaring his decision not to meet with the monitoring group members.Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
