RA President should demonstrate political will and start open dialogue with Turkey

PanARMENIAN.Net - Former Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian said Armenia must regards Turkey's becoming OSCE Minsk Group co-chair country as inconceivable.

"Turkey has not been allowed to make comments on Nagorno Karabakh conflict for 10 years. Neither was Azerbaijan allowed to speak of Armenian-Turkish relations However, today Erdogan makes tough statements. Ilham Aliyev does the same," Mr. Oskanian told a news conference.

"I think RA President should demonstrate political will and start open dialogue with Turkey, because they will press Armenia through the Karabakh issue. Moreover, Europe may consider that all regional problems can be solved within one set, what is devastating for Armenia. The President has to review his foreign policy and change the priorities," he said, adding that the strategy silence is doomed to failure.
