RA and Turkish FM' statement came as a second surprise to Armenian people

PanARMENIAN.Net - After Maindorf declaration, the statement issued by Armenian and Turkish Foreign Ministries came as a second surprise to Armenian people, Heritage Faction representative, RA MP Stepan Safaryan told a news conference in Yerevan.

"We cant exclude the possibility that a document on establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Turkey will be signed some day," RA MP noted.

According to Stepan Safaryan, normalization of Armenian-Turkish ties started on the initiative of Moscow, which was later taken over by West.

"Currently Russia assumed the role of a detached observer. At present Moscow is more interested in Armenian-Azeri relations," the MP emphasized.
