It would be naïve to expect a miraculous turn of events from every presidential meeting

PanARMENIAN.Net - "It would be naïve to expect a miraculous turn of events from every presidential meeting. NKR conflict settlement demands patience and a political will," ex-Co-Chair of MG OSCE (Russia) Vladimir Kazimirov told a news conference in Yerevan.

"Leaders of both states take no efforts to prepare their countries' societies for concessions and compromise. It would be naïve to hope that some party or another will get all of it. The parties must definitely make concessions," the Russian diplomat emphasized.

Dwelling on Prague meeting of RA and Azeri Presidents, Vladimir Kazimirov noted, "5th presidential meeting between Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliev is a positive factor." "Even if Co-Chairs succeeded in promoting better understanding between the parties, who agreed on some common principles, we mustn't forget the rule "Nothing's agreed upon until everything's agreed upon". So we have to arm ourselves with patience to achieve the final agreement," Vladimir Kazimirov emphasized.
