EIGHT POLITICAL PARTIES UNANIMOUS ABOUT INADMISSIBILITY OF REVIEWING RATIO OF MAJORITY AND PROPORTIONAL PLACES IN PARLIAMENT

PanARMENIAN.Net - The leaders of eight political parties have come to accord about the content of the joint statement accentuating the necessity to strengthen the role of parties and inadmissibility of reviewing the ratio of majority and proportional places in the parliament. (As it is known, some political forces have initiated discussion of the question of expediency of increasing majority places at the expense of the proportional.) To all appearance the document will be signed by the representatives of the Communist, "Dashnaktsutyun", "Ramkavar-Azatakan", National Unity, Socialist Armenia, Liberty, XXI Century parties, Self-Determination union. The discord concerns only the document addressee. The forces representing the radical opposition insist on the document taking the shape of an appeal to the people, the others consider it should be addressed to the President.
