  By-elections possible in Yerevan?June 1, 2009 - 23:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's first President, leader of Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Ter-Petrosyan said his bloc doesn't recognize the outcomes of the May 31 municipal elections and renounces its mandates in Yerevan city council.According to the Law on Yerevan, if a city council member renounces office, the seat remains vacant. The ANC was expected to get 12 or 13 mandates.   Top stories Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
