US AMBASSADOR TO ARMENIA THINKS YEREVAN HAS TO BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL OF ITS RELATIONS WITH TEHERAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerevan has to be extremely careful in its evaluations of its relations with Iran. As «Arminfo» agency reports, US ambassador to Armenia John Ordway has stated this in his interview with «Liberty» radiostation. In his words, the USA, of course, realize the complexity of Armenia's geopolitical location in the region and the importance of the development of trade relations with Iran for Armenia, that is why Washington has no objections to it. The USA is concerned about something else- Iran's efforts for acquiring weapons of mass destruction and its assistance to terrorism. Being so close to Iran, Armenia has to have the same concerns and stand against Iran's efforts for acquiring the above mentioned weapons and its assistance to terrorism. Armenia can join the countries standing, particularly, against Iran's influence on processes in the Middle East. «We cooperate with Armenia in the struggle against terror perfectly and we expect this cooperation will have continuation», John Ordway noted.
