  European Armenians protest Tigran Arakelyan arrestJuly 22, 2009 - 00:07 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenians of Europe have launched collection of signatures to protest detainment of Armenian National Congress youth wing member Tigran Arakelyan, the ANC said in a statement. Armenians of Europe condemned the illegal actions of the authorities and urged to stop persecution of young oppositionists. They also intend to bring the issue to the notion of European structures. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.
