USA INTENDS TO ACTIVATE EFFORTS FOR NAGORNO KARABAKH CONFLICT PEACEFUL SETTLEMENT

PanARMENIAN.Net - April 24 US President George Bush has addressed the American Armenians the statement of commemoration of the 1915 Armenian Genocide victims. As the Armenian Assembly of America reported to «Arminfo» agency, speaking about «appalling tragedy» George Bush noted it was necessary to draw lessons from these terrible events. Expressing sympathy with Armenians of the whole world, the head of the White House called on Turkey to establish economic, political and cultural relations with Armenia.

Expressing appreciation to official Yerevan for its support to the US for the struggle against terrorism, George Bush sated about intentions of Washington to activate the efforts for Nagorno-Karabakh conflict peaceful settlement. It is stated in the President's statement that the US will also continue to render aid to Armenia for development of democracy, establishment of market relations and strengthening of Armenia's integration into the European-Atlantic community.
