Hayk Babukhanyan: Opposition will not receive popular support in autumn

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia which faces serious challenges is in for serious tensions this autumn, Head of Constitutional Right Union Hayk Babukhanyan told a news conference in Yerevan. The speaker enumerated four parallel process in country's domestic and foreign policy: Armenian-Turkish rapprochement, NKR conflict settlement, increased internal tensions and global crisis. These are the factors which he believes play a decisive role in country's political and social development.

Serious changes inside the country were also predicted by "orange opposition", but very few people support them now as most are paralyzed by sense of fear, Babukhanyan said.

"Last year we saw many people following the opposition, but now we don't see even half of them," he stressed, adding that RA first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan robbed people of so many things during his rule that country's current situation only arouses anxiety.
