RA National Congress supporters' rally held in YerevanSeptember 18, 2009 - 20:44 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Today, 3 000 opposition supporters gathered for a rally at Matenadaran ancient manuscripts institute. According to PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, RA National Party Leader Stepan Demirchyan, RA Republican Party Chairman Aram Sargsyan and recently amnestied ex Deputy Prosecutor General Gagik Jangiryan participated in the rally.The meeting was opened by Armenian National Movement Leader Ararat Zurabyan, stating that RA NA MP Khatchatur Sukiasyan was supposed to be present at the meeting, yet was summoned by special investigation service for interrogation. Rally organizers focused on RA -Turkish rapprochement, noting that RA President Serzh Sargsyan is being supported by the West in exchange for concessions he agrees to in RA-Turkish ties normalization issue. Participants noted that such development of events will lead to tyranny in the country, if not stopped in due time. After the meeting, organizers will head the rally to march through Yerevan's main avenue, to be completed in North Avenue.
