Larisa Alaverdyan: Authorities should establish dialogue with society

PanARMENIAN.Net - It looks as though Armenia were responsible for closing Armenian-Turkish border; this is how the situation is represented, Heritage faction MP Larisa Alaverdyan told a news conference in Yerevan. According to her, opening border between countries implies raising Armenia's blockade.

Alaverdyan disagreed with FM Edward Nalbandyan's statement on Armenian-Turkish Protocols not being subject to change, considering the relevant clauses of RA Law on International Treaties.

According to pro-opposition MP, real discussion over Protocols will be possible only in case the executive starts a dialogue with public. "Authorities have the right to disagree with society's proposals, but they shouldn't immediately reject them, saying that it is impossible," she noted.
