POSTPONED MEETING OF RELIGIOUS LEADERS OF ARMENIA AND AZERBAIJAN TO BE HELD IN FEBRUARY

PanARMENIAN.Net - To all appearance the meeting of the religious leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, which had been postponed, will be held in Moscow in February. Let us remind that the meeting of Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II and head of the clerical department of the Moslems of the Caucasus Sheik-Ul-Islam Allahshukyur Pashazade was fixed in the middle of December, but did not take place. The reasons, which had hindered the meeting, were not reported. Let us note that the head of the Russian Orthodox Church Alexy II is the initiator of the contact between the two clerical leaders. The process of Karabakh conflict settlement is planned to be discussed at the meeting. Garegin II and Sheik-Ul-Islam Allahshukyur Pashazade will exchange opinions concerning the opportunity of creating a ground for developing Armenian-Azeri dialogue on different levels. The interlocutors will concern the problem of international terrorism. This will become the seventh meeting of Catholicos of All Armenians and head of the clerical department of the Moslems of the Caucasus.
