Tigran Urikhanyan: Armenia’s internal policy needs changes![]() March 31, 2010 - 17:23 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s internal policy needs changes, according to Progressive Party chairman Tigran Urikhanyan. As he told a news conference in Yerevan, foreign policy is seriously affecting internal policy in Armenia, which undergoes changes every day. Tigran Urikhanyan slammed Armenian government’s activities, noting that Armenian Prime Minister has to resign. Dwelling on Armenia-turkey Rapprochement, Urikhanyan said that the process is linked to Karabakh conflict settlement, though the fact is not mentioned in Protocols. At the same time he acknowledged to seeing no pressure on Turkey on behalf of international community. ![]() ![]() The Armenian-Turkish Protocols The Protocols aimed at normalization of bilateral ties and opening of the border between Armenia and Turkey were signed in Zurich by Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu on October 10, 2009, after a series of diplomatic talks held through Swiss mediation. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
