DISCUSSION OF SANCTIONS AGAINST AZERBAIJAN POSTPONED TILL INDEFINITE TIME

PanARMENIAN.Net - Conciliation committee of the two Houses of the U.S. Congress has postponed consideration of the bill passed by the Senate the day before, which envisaged giving the country's President the authority to waive sanctions against Azerbaijan. This item was earlier included in the agenda of the session, fixed for November 1. According to the information provided by press secretary of Azerbaijani Embassy in Washington Elina Suleymanova, discussion of the question of reconsideration of Section 907, banning U.S. Administration to render direct aid to Azerbaijan until it lifts the blockade against Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, can already be held tomorrow. At the same time Chairman of the American-Azerbaijani Council Jeyhun Mollazade possesses data that conciliation committee will set about considering the bill to mitigate sanctions against Azerbaijan not earlier than November 6.
