PREPARING FOR AGGRESSION IN NAGORNO-KARABAKH AND ARMENIA AZERI ELITE DOES NOT RELY ON ITS OWN STRENGTH

PanARMENIAN.Net - Member of the Turkish Parliament Byulent Akchali has come out with a statement according to which Ankara was ready to begin "an antiterrorist operation in Karabakh if Baku was able to prove Armenia was concerned with the acts of terrorism in Azerbaijan including Nagorno-Karabakh." "We will ask the Foreign Ministry to furnish evidence to the Parliament of Turkey," - Reader of Baku State University Kyamil Salimov stated in an interview to ANS Azerbaijani information agency. At the same time the scientist, who considers himself to be an expert in the sphere of fighting against international terrorism, considers there is no legal basis for Turkey to conduct a military operation in Nagorno-Karabakh yet. "It is impossible without Azerbaijan's consent, as in numerous declarations, conventions and resolutions UN recommends the states to conclude bilateral as well as multilateral treaties on liquidation and suppression of terrorist violence on their territories," - Salimov stressed. He sees the solution of the problem in concluding a treaty with Turkey "on joint suppression of terrorism from the direction of Armenia." Thus, apparently, the Azeri elite does not rely on its own strength in realizing aggression in relation to Nagorno-Karabakh.
