ARMENIAN FOREIGN MINISTER WELCOMES CE EQUATING SELF-DETERMINATION AND TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY PRINCIPLES

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian called Council of Europe recognizing equality of the principles of self-determination of nations and territorial integrity of states unexampled. In his interview given to "Noyan Tapan" agency, the head of the Foreign Ministry stated official Yerevan "is quite satisfied with the CE decision." In the Minister's words, there was some vagueness concerning the question of recognition of equality of these two principles, as it was more favourable politically to recognize the priority of the principle of territorial integrity. This decision "may be useful when determining the final status of Nagorno Karabakh," - Vardan Oskanian considers.
