MINSK GROUP CO-CHAIRS WILL MEET IN VIENNA IN SEPTEMBERAugust 31, 2001 - 00:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - As we have already reported, OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmen intend to visit the region of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict in the first half of October. As reported by "CNA" agency, joint consultations of the mediators of US, France and Russia with OSCE acting Chairman, which will be held in the beginning of September in Vienna, will precede it. The French and Russian diplomats will bring their new colleague from the United States up to date of the conflict settlement process. Let us remind that American diplomat Rudolf Vilem Perina, who was lately appointed OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairman, had been the US Ambassador to Moldova until recently. Having acquired Bachelor Degree of Michigan State University and Master Degree and Philosophy Doctor on the European History in Columbia University, Perina worked in US diplomatic representations in Canada, Russia, GFR, Belgium and Yugoslavia since 1974. In the period between 1987-1989 he held office of Director of US National Security Council on European and Socialist Camp Countries Affairs. In 1996-1997 he was US Senior Assistant Secretary of State on European and Canadian Affairs.
